Welcome to the AIM website where you will find an abundance of resources, contacts and practical advice for independent record labels.

2009 is a big year for us here at AIM, it's our 10th anniversary! AIM members have achieved this - and it's a very big achievement for the independent sector of the UK music business. We'll be celebrating with a special AGM in July, where members will get the chance to shape our agenda for the next 10 years.

This summer we will also be celebrating the second annual 'Independents Day' on July 4th - a global celebration of independent music. Look out for more information, and get involved!

Label of the Month

Our label of the month is Cooking Vinyl

In February, Cooking Vinyl-signed The Prodigy released their fifth studio album Invaders Must Die, after the track Omen was released as a single and marched to No.4 in the UK charts. The album stormed to the top of the charts. Having completed their own arena tour, the band has a number of high profile festival appearances lined up for this summer, including Isle of Wight Festival, Global Gathering and Download.

Cooking Vinyl has a number of other top live acts on the road this summer, including Nitin Sawhney and Billy Bragg.
