Welcome to the AIM website where you will find an abundance of resources, contacts and practical advice for independent record labels.

The indies have already got off to a good start in 2010, and we're looking forward to working with our members and friends across the industry throughout the year to help independent music companies thrive.

Having taken a huge number of UK companies to Midem in January, we are now preparing for the SXSW festival in Texas. Since AIM was born 10 years ago, we have been bringing more and more delegates to SXSW, and this year the show is even bigger. With London based Jay Sean storming the charts last year, and XL Recording’s Vampire Weekend reaching number one in the US in January, this emphatic demonstration of the capability of the Brits to find and develop artists successfully in the US should be a curtain raiser for more success. Go the Indies – your time is now!

Our label of the month is VISIBLE NOISE!

Visible Noise has been busting eardrums from it's West London base since 1998. Always remaining at the forefront of British Metal, Punk and Hardcore, Visible Noise stand out as one of the shining lights in the UK independent community.

Home to bands such as The Legacy, The Plight, Bring Me The Horizon and The Dead Formats, Visible Noise has a wealth of bands that have graced the best in national and international press, TV and radio.

At the helm of the label is Julie Weir, an active AIM board member that has created a label that has been often copied, never repeated!

Lostprophets are without doubt, the label's biggest success story, taking live audiences and charts by storm. The band recently celebrated a number one in the UK independent album charts and number three in the official UK album charts.
