Women in Music
Despite notable female successes in the music industry, research conducted by the Cultural Leadership Programme found that male leaders in the creative industries outnumbered female leaders by two and a half to one in 2009.
Here at AIM we are keen to address this imbalance and encourage women to succeed in the music business. We therefore hold regular 'Women in Music & Entertainment' events, bringing together women from across the creative industries to see inspiring female leaders speak and network with each other.
We had a stellar line up of speakers this year, including RT Hon Harriet Harman, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, BBC Radio 1's Annie Nightingale MBE and Krissi Murison, former editor of NME. You can watch all the videos from the event below.
