AIM’s Annual General Meeting is the key moment of the year for members to come together and participate in the democratic running of the organisation.
It is our members’ chance to hear what we have done over the last year, and what we are planning to do in the year ahead. Members have the chance to meet the Board, hear directly how their elected representatives are working on their behalf and to elect the new Board members.
Each year four members of the AIM Board step down and four new board members will be elected. In that way we make sure that the AIM Board continues to evolve with our community. It is essential that AIM’s Board remains representative of that community and contains diverse voices and opinions.
We have extended the deadline for Board nominations to this Friday 21st September, so that we give as many members as possible the chance to nominate themselves or others to represent the community in the running of AIM and guide the agenda for independent music.
- Be executives, senior management or prominent figures within the independent community
- Have valuable industry experience and insight
- Hold a keen interest in and awareness of key industry issues
- Want to help to set the agenda for AIM’s activities
- Be an innovator and keen to champion change

Note that Distributor members and Friends of AIM are not eligible to stand for the Board but, if you are either of those, you are welcome to submit nominees from within the AIM community.
