At the event we hosted a table with London’s ‘Night Czar’, Amy Lamé, BBC 6Music producers, two of the independent community’s top women executives Hannah Overton of the Secretly Group, Snooky Grubb of Mute and artist-led independent label Toochi Records. Amy Lamé won the Music Champion award for her services to music including her landmark win in eliminating the controversial ‘Form 696’.
We were delighted to see the recognition for so many members of the AIM community, including AIM Board Member Nadia Khan, Artist Manager and Founder of Women in Ctrl, who spoke at AIM’s AGM on our panel of diversity champions this year.
The legendary Jane Dyball, CEO of The Music Publishers Association Group of companies received the Outstanding Contribution Award.
There was also well-deserved recognition this year for Vanessa Reed, CEO of PRS Foundation. AIM are a signatory of the PRSF Keychange initiative, which aims to achieve gender balance at all festivals and conferences by 2020.
