As you may be aware, the BBC will soon be rolling out ‘Store’ functionality on BBC iPlayer. This will allow the millions of BBC iPlayer users to purchase programmes directly from the BBC.
This has some impact on the terms of the AIM/BBC agreement, which you need to be aware of. In particular, new rates are in place to deal with revenues generated by BBC Store usage of recordings covered by the AIM/BBC agreement. In addition, the original windowing provisions have been simplified.
Details of these changes have been included in the updated the AIM/BBC agreement user guide, which you can access here. As always, if you have any specific questions on this, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
