After a year that has seen the Independent Label Market return to Berlin, debut in Bristol and Hamburg and make a trip back over the pond to LA, November sees the market return home for the final event of 2015. Returning to Old Spitalfields Market on Saturday 28th November for the fifth Christmas market in London and 11th London edition. Once again, Independent Label Market will be supported by AIM.
We are very excited to be welcoming a number of new labels set to make their London debuts. Amongst them we have Newcastle based tape label Zyng Tapes and exciting reissue label Public Pressure. We also welcome DJ and producer James Zabiela’s label Born Electric who’ll be celebrating their 3rd birthday this year, and with releases under their belt from Pedestrian, DREWXHILL, PEDRAM and Iron Galaxy we’ll know they’ll bring the heat. Lastly, after a monster year releasing the #2 charting debut Wolf Alice record the trailblazing Dirty Hit stop by Old Spitalfields armed with releases from up and coming The Japanese House, and the now established Marika Hackman and The 1975.

Following the huge success of the Summer market with over 53,000 music and beer fans in attendance, we’ll be partnering up with London Brewers’ Market for a seventh time, which will feature a selection of local breweries from the London area. Much like independent record labels, small independent breweries are currently on trend in the capital and making noise in the beer world too. In London, the number of breweries has reportedly increased by as much as five times since 2010, with their ales featuring on the bars of some this country’s busiest pubs and restaurants, as well as abroad. Get a chance to meet some of the brewers behind London’s thriving beer scene, learn about the different varieties of beer, and enjoy some fine examples to drink at the market as well as to take home in bottle. There will be a beer garden set up amongst the ILM and Brewer’s stalls, where there will be product sampling, live music and DJ sets throughout the day.
