Young Guns Network will look at what happens when artists and musicians get involved with politics and campaigning. How is music used to raise awareness of social issues and create social change? How have British musicians and campaigners worked together to organise effective and authentic campaigns using live shows, public platforms, content creation and social media? Are there any pitfalls or challenges that come with using music in activism? They’ll be looking at campaigns from the anti-racist campaigns of the 1970s to 2017’s Grime4Corbyn.
Remi Harris, Becka Hudson (Team member, Grime4Corbyn), Roger Huddle (Joint Founder, Rock Against Racism) & Pascale Frazer-Carroll (Engagement and Campaigns Advisor, Change.org)
