19 Jan 2012 AIM Launches Campaign Against Break-Up and Sale of EMI
AIM members are actively supporting the UK industry calls for a review of the proposed break-up and sale of EMI Music, and are launching a campaign to inform constituency MPs about this vital issue. The increasing concentration of the music market in the hands of a decreasing number of gigantic multinationals has undoubtedly damaged competition. AIM's position is that the proposed sale of EMI threatens further damage so great that it must be reviewed and resisted by the UK Coalition Government with the full support of the Opposition on what really should not be a Party issue.

Chris Price12 Oct 2011 I Hate Myself & I Want To Die: The Deadly Embrace of Rock Music & Suicide
As part of AIM's support of CALM, as charity set up to respond to the high suicide rate amongst young men, this original Huffington Post article by Chris Price looks into the relationship between rock and roll and suicide "I think self-destruction is honourable. It's an act of great control." In a strong field these words are the most reckless and idiotic that Morrissey has ever uttered in public. Aired two years ago on the BBC's Desert Island Discs, the interview in which he offered this particular pearl of wrongheadedness is also among the most irresponsible Radio 4 has ever broadcast. But we'll come to that in a minute.
