AIM Announces The AIM/UKTI Digital Music Trade Mission To NY 2012

AIM FOR THE US 2012
AIM/UKTI DIGITAL MUSIC TRADE MISSION TO NY
18th-21st JUNE 2012

The AIM/UKTI Digital Music Mission offers established music businesses an unparalleled opportunity to keep their knowledge/skill set ahead of the curve, and look forward to the growth and market development of digital, plus meet with the 'movers and shakers' of the new tech generation. The bespoke Mission Programme (Mon) includes master classes, case studies and panel sessions with top-level digital specialists/speakers/panellists from across the US music industry.  In addition we will host B2B 1:1 speed meetings and a networking reception with US industry guests enabling delegates to forge new contacts.

Delegates will be able to access A2IM’s Indie Week conference (Tue-Thu), which attracts around three hundred delegates from across the US music industry.  There will also be 1:1 speed meetings and a networking reception with A2IM members and US industry guests.

AIM chairman and chief executive Alison Wenham says, “The US music market has always been hugely important and influential. And now that music has become firmly established as a digital format, it becomes even more important to understand how to make the best of the US digital market. Introducing UK indie companies to their American counterparts, to share in that inspirational ‘Can Do’ attitude that is so synonymous with them will lead to some firm new business opportunities.”

2011 Delegate Quotes:

Simon Scott (Push Entertainment) – “The mission was very successful for us and we found some new partners that will contribute to our growth over the next year.”

Martin Rigby  (Psonar Ltd) – “An absolutely fantastic programme - I met some great people and the week was one of the most productive I've had since starting Psonar.”

Chris Goss (Hospital Records) – “The most important aspect of the mission programme was gaining a more current understanding of the current US market, being able to have 'face time' with some existing partners and the networking opportunities.”
