RSD label Sign up is now open and ERA are very much looking forward to hear what you have planned for Record Store Day 2015.
At the bottom of this page you can download the label code of conduct which explains in full the criteria for RSD releases – Some central points to note are:
- At least 500 units of each product must be manufactured
- Product must be exclusive, i.e. it should not have been made available or be made available in a similar format (e.g. different colour) for at least 12 months prior to or post RSD, it should not have been made previously available in a different territory and it must only be manufactured with the sole intention of releasing for RSD.
- Album artwork should be provided separately to the product submissions form in 300 x 300 pixels .jpg format
The code of conduct should be signed and returned to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent to ERA, 3 Soho Square, (3rd Floor), London, W1D 3HD before or at the same time as you send in your product submissions.
You will also find at the bottom of the page the product submissions form. This should be completed in full and returned to email@example.com by no later than the28th February 2015.
Submissions made after this date will not be guaranteed to appear on the RSD website or within the launch event information. Once submitted, product will be checked by a panel of retailers to ensure it meets the RSD criteria set out above – if you do not hear from ERA within 2 to 3 weeks then your product submissions have been approved. It would also be very helpful if you could also send the product sales notes along with the submissions form and ensure the information on the excel spreadsheet in consistent with this to avoid confusion.
If you have any other questions regarding the product submissions process please take a look at their sign up page on the website here or drop Beth a line – firstname.lastname@example.org.
